Watford & 3 Rivers residents. Unable to use public transport due to age, frailty, mobility or no public transport options
Since 1981 Watford & Three Rivers Trust Community Cars (formerly Watford Volunteer Transport Office) has been providing essential journeys for those unable to use public transport. We provide transport for those with mobility or sensory issues as well as those who need to access the service on short term basis while they recover from an operation or general ill health.
Community Cars serves residents across Watford and Three Rivers and provides a safe, reliable and affordable service. Our team of friendly volunteer drivers use their own cars to provide transport to medical appointments, day centers, social engagements, to visit relatives and much more. While most of the journeys are local or to London hospitals, nationwide journeys can be arranged.
Journeys are charged at 45p per mile and we take requests from individuals as well as referrals from professionals.
Demand for the service continues to grow and we are always seeking to recruit new volunteer drivers and volunteers to support our bookings line by taking calls and arranging journey’s.
