Community Alliance

Our Car Scheme supports clients who struggle to get to essential appointments (health, daily needs, social purposes, etc.) and are unable to drive or use public transport. The vulnerable, elderly and less mobile residents of East Herts and Broxbourne can access our service. Please note: At the current time we only take referrals from the Borough of Broxbourne when they cannot use the Royal Voluntary Service scheme.
 
What kind of journeys are undertaken?  We prioritise medical but also take people to day centres & the occasional shopping or social trip

Cost: Mileage rate and minimum charge: 60p per mile

Any other useful details:  Our drivers wait for 2 hours for medical appointments before the charge increases and usually 1 hour for social bookings
